Hello! I’m Bryan, and I like to take pictures.
For nearly as far back as I can remember, if there was ever a camera around, I wanted to be the one behind it, and ever since picking up my first camera and figuring out what all the knobs and buttons do, I’ve constantly viewed the world from a perspective of composition and movement within the frame.
I am a graduate of the Vancouver Film School and have spent some time working on film sets in Los Angeles over the years. Most of this was in various camera departments, but I’ve also worked a fair amount in other departments as well, as I enjoy knowing at least a little about as many things as possible.
Unfortunately, various life events forced me to step away from the industry for a period of time some years ago. I thought I could convince myself that I would be happy to have a “normal” job for the rest of my life, but it just doesn't seem like it was meant to be.
Since then, I have spent some time working in the Advanced Video Production Certificate program at Bellevue College as a means to get back up to speed with more current equipment and workflows. While there, I crewed in a number of positions for both live event and post-produced productions for the college as well as the City of Bellevue.
Now, I’m just trying to figure out how to make a living with this particular set of skills. Thanks for stopping by.
